I have been to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha three times, but only once have I seen such a large memorial service. Buddhist monks gathered in large numbers inside the temple. The smell of incense sticks filled the air, and the monks rhythmically struck small bells and plates that harmonized with the mantra being spoken. This unique atmosphere delighted many tourists.
