In China, the New Year holiday is the best time to shop. First of all, the Chinese exchange red envelopes with wishes, which contain quite decent sums of money. Secondly, stores and department stores tempt you with promotions, for example: spend 300 RMB and you will receive another 300 RMB in the form of a coupon for further purchases.
