Technically it is called the Central Business District in Shenzhen. Many Chinese cities now have such modern and pampered city centers. They build large office buildings, hotels, shopping centers with branded stores, and multi-story parking lots. Everything is intended to delight the Chinese and foreigners themselves, so that they live in the belief that their government is perfect and takes care of everyone.
