According to the Chinese, Mao was a very good poet and wrote Chinese characters beautifully in ink. I have heard such opinions from many people and apparently it is a fact, not propaganda, because even young people say so. Here is a statue of Mao Tse-tung and his handwritten poem in the town of YueYang in Hunan Province.
