In Poland, buses run less frequently in the evenings and at night, there is not so much traffic and there are not so many passengers. In Chinese metropolises, especially in the south - where it is warmer - life begins at 6-7 p.m., because that's when people finish work. There are crowds at the bus stops, and buses sometimes queue to enter the bus stop.
