Symbol of Guangzhou city

In YueXiu Park in Guangzhou, the main attraction is the Five Chamois Monument (Wu Yang ShiXiang). In the literal translation they are sheep, and in the English version they are rams. They look like chamois to me. Besides, Guangzhou describes itself as the city of chamois, and the city of sheep doesn't sound very nice in Polish. The monument is associated with a legend. A long time ago, people worked hard, but there was famine in the area. Five immortal riders rode on goats. The animals held ears of rice in their mouths and scattered them over the city. From then on, Guangzhou became more prosperous and famine-free. The chamois turned to stone and became a blessing for Canton.
