Beggar, flutist

© Bartłomiej Magierowski
Such a beggar is truly an exception in China. Most of the clowns here are pushy, often sophisticated and lazy. They chase people on the sidewalks, open taxi doors while waiting for donations, they can pull people's hands and even block someone's passage. They especially hunt foreigners, sometimes it resembles a zombie attack from Resident Evil. China can afford to help such people, but it is probably more about the attitude to life of such beggars than poverty as such.
