Chinese New Year. The visible stall is the equivalent of our stalls with Christmas trees, decorations and wrapping paper. The Chinese version sells woven, cut and printed stamps bringing good luck in the new year. In the year of the rooster, roosters, and in the year of the dog, of course, dogs. Most often red, which is supposed to scare away the evil spirit of Nian. It's a legend, supposedly he ate people and was only afraid of red and fire.
