China-Hong Kong border. The modern train visible far in the background is now on the Hong Kong, New Territories side. Not every train can simply pass through here, passport control is necessary before traveling. Decades ago it was certainly one of the most heavily guarded borders in the world, separating the two systems, now it is the most congested border in the world. Trains depart every 3-5 minutes and take passengers to the center of Hong Kong, Kowloon, TsimShaTsui within 50 minutes.
