Life and Travel in China

My Chinese friend has great hopes for our national team's performance at the world championships. And I'm glad they didn't show the goalkeeper's famous goal on TV yesterday. At such moments, you feel like going to the consulate and handing over your Polish passport. If this friend hasn't watched it, I don't even tell him anything, let the poor guy still believe in Poland, maybe he has this attitude because he is not Polish and he claims that our national team is strong! I am more of a realist and I know that we played good football when I wasn't born yet and maybe we will play well again, but I probably won't be around then. I don't expect any success in the next hundred years.

I wrote a more critical text about China, about one very specific problem, procedure, and immediately one famous newspaper, the most famous weekly, a monthly magazine devoted to foreign affairs, and an Internet portal... everyone is interested! Something incredible! I always said that when you write bad about a country, they are happy to publish it, and this situation now proves that I was right. I sent every other text to them and there was silence, and now everyone is interested in it. If you want to become a millionaire - write bad things about China!!! This is my recipe for life!!! If you want to spit on China, every decent daily, weekly and monthly magazine will provide you with a website.

...and so many Chinese friends watched the match! And how am I supposed to look them in the eye now? They are sitting in front of the TV at 3 a.m. local time and what, what is the result? Shame and disgrace!!! And I even bought a T-shirt for our national team for a Chinese friend, and how should I give it to him? I could have bought the Ecuador jersey better.

I didn't speak for some time because I was in Poland. Actually, I didn't do anything extraordinary, and I had some strange adventures. I notice certain things, behaviors and phenomena that the average Pole does not see, I look at everything from a distance, maybe even through the prism of China, and I also see changes that have occurred some time after the last time I was in Poland. As soon as I find a moment, I will describe it all in a column, because some situations really shocked me.

I read today's information from Poland, instead of doing something, the government, as usual, spits at each other and wallows in the mud. The Minister of Education is fighting against homosexuals, and the highlanders were fined for selling oscypek cheese - so everything is business as usual. No changes in China either. In the middle of nowhere, the government does not argue, the head of education does not deal with perversions, and there is no oscypek cheese at all.
