Life and Travel in China

Why do people need so many cars? One day we will all die because of these cars. They're going crazy in China too. Wife - a car, husband - a car, plus a company car, cars for the children when they grow up (or a car with a driver), and a few million trucks... It's not about traffic jams, if they bought a car, let them stay in traffic jams (the busiest cities I've seen in China are Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai), but what I care about is health, clean air, peace and quiet. People are lazy and stupid to themselves (later they wonder where cancer and heart attacks come from). Zero ecology. You can even enter some parks here by car, and you can also drive to the seaside, you can drive right to the beach. "You stupid, stupid, oh stupid!!!"

I like that on Chinese TV they show European football, not the Polish league of course, but mainly English and German. However, I don't like the fact that the team names are written in Chinese - if I don't recognize the shirts or the players, I have no idea who is playing with whom. Sometimes I even just look at the score 2-0, but who won? Newcastle or Manchester? I didn't watch the whole match, no one scored at the end and I still don't know what the result was. I guess 2 for Manchester.

I would really like it, I would like it for all my compatriots, for Poland to develop like China, but it is impossible. Firstly, we do not have such a population, secondly, we do not want to work (it is better to sit and complain), thirdly, every new government (no matter which one) instead of getting down to work and changing something in Poland, spends a few months discussing which reason is more rational. More rational is a new adjective, it suits us, Poles, because we love to discuss what is more rational. Nothing will change in Poland. I've already read it in Newsweek! There will be no lower taxes, a cheaper state, lower unemployment, there will be no economic growth, but it will be "cleaner", without corruption. Consolation to me too, great success!

An authentic event, today... two guests flew from Poland to China for the first time. They went to shops, good department stores, and consumer electronics centers and found: laptops too expensive, good sports shoes too expensive, briefcases too expensive, gold also more expensive than in Poland, company clothes too expensive. It turned out that everything is cheaper in Poland than in China (retail, good brands and decent stores). This is the truth, in China people can afford expensive things (mainly in large cities). The gentlemen will return to Poland and do their shopping there, everything will be cheaper. Such is the reality!

It is a strange country where people aged 25-30 buy their own apartments, with their own money (not from their parents, for example), because they have a well-paid job and there is no shortage of such work, either in this company or in another. It's true that they take out loans, but they don't worry about repaying them. Of course, we are talking about cities, but China is developing very quickly, educated people and hard-working people always have great opportunities here.
